A little About Me...

I'm from a small dairy town in East Texas, but I've been an Alamogordo girl since I was 12. I have the best little family with my brilliant husband, a teenaged son, a second-grade daughter, a huge loveable pup and a crazy cat. We love our time at home together, hanging with friends, and getting out into nature. We're involved with ministries that are important to us and we value our faith community. We know this strengthens our bond and keeps us rooted in what matters most.

I jumped headfirst into a salon career early in life (over 20 years ago, yikes!), because the art of shaping and coloring hair has turned out to be such a great creative outlet for me. Once I was trained in the fundamentals, I ran with the craft. Going back to school to become an educator was the logical next step. But ultimately, I loved the salon dynamic most and there’s nothing like being behind the chair, getting my daily dose of girl time day in. That goes for my team too. So far, it’s been just us girls, and blush Beauty Bar has been my dream space to encourage them, to help them grow in the ways they want, and get after those goals! Believe me, they are such a sweet inspiration to me also!

As a salon owner and stylist, I think it’s really important to make valuable connections with other women and I want every guest's encounter with our company to be exceptional. I've been told often I have a sort of calming nature and I like to think I don't get too worked up about anything. Of course, my husband and closest friends may tell you differently! I love to laugh, and I think every visit should be fun and positive. That’s what it means to relax, right?

I specialize in lived-in color and volume-weft extensions. I feel I’m living in my most creative sweet spot and as I bring more support team, stylists and even boutique business partners into this space, I count myself so blessed to have the best and brightest women in my life! I also serve as Alamogordo MainStreet board member and Promotions Chair which has connected me even more to our neighbors in downtown businesses. I am learning so much through these relationships and experiences.

A few other things I love...sweets! (chocolate, pastries and cookies, not so much candy. Just give me all the carbs!) Early morning reading or journaling and spending time in the great outdoors hiking, biking -- even just looking for a place of solitude to get quiet with God -- renews my soul.

I really love meeting new people, too, so I can't wait to have you in my chair to talk about your hair goals and get to know you! See you soon, gorgeous...
