A little About Me...

I'm from a small dairy town in East Texas, but I've been an Alamogordo girl since I was 12. I have the best little family with my brilliant husband, a teenager, a first-grader a huge puppy and new kitten. We love our time at home together, hanging with friends, and getting out into nature. We're involved with ministries that are important to us and we value our faith community. We know this strengthens our bond and keeps us rooted in what matters most.

I jumped head first into a salon career early in life (over 20 years ago, yikes!), because the art of shaping and coloring hair has turned out to be such a great creative outlet for me. Once I was trained in the fundamentals, I ran with the craft. Going back to school to  educate seemed like a no-brainer, but ultimately There’s nothing like being behind the chair and having a healthy dose of girl time day in and day out. That goes for my team too! So far it’s been just us girls, and I love having the opportunity to encourage them, to help them grow in the way as they want, and get after those goals! Believe me, they are such a sweet inspiration to me also!

As a salon owner and stylist, I think it’s really important to make valuable connections with other women and I want every guest encounter with our company to be exceptional. I've been told often I have a sort of calming nature and I like to think I don't get too worked up about anything. Of course, my husband and closest friends may tell you differently! I love to laugh, and I think every visit should be fun and positive. That’s what it means to relax, right?

I specialize in color — especially blondes and vivids — and I am growing my range of extension certifications, expanding a clientele in that arena also. I feel I’m living in my most creative sweet spot and project planning is on the horizon for even more amazing artistry to come! Through collaboration with other extraordinary artists, there is alway opportunity to make something amazing happen and that is a constant goal of mine. Another is to ensure that women in business have room in the marketplace to do what they love. So far that has meant licensed practitioners in the beauty industry, but recently our venture has involved a fresh boutique space for fantastic startups to shine! This is life-giving just by virtue of expanding my social circle — I said I love girl-time, right?? —  but helping women be more influential in our community and putting local business front and center right here in MainStreet Alamogordo. Community over competition all the way!

A few other things I love...sweets! (chocolate, pastries and cookies, not so much candy. Just give me all the carbs!) Early morning reading or journaling and spending time in the great outdoors hiking, biking -- even just looking for a place of solitude to get quiet with God -- renews my soul.

I really love meeting new people, too, so I can't wait to have you in my chair to talk about your hair goals and get to know you! See you soon, gorgeous...
